This Shipping, Freight & Export Policy outlines the packaging protocols, logistics workflows, transit terms, and export responsibilities governing all international deliveries dispatched from Medizra’s manufacturing facility in Sialkot, Pakistan.

1. Dispatch Locations & Export Portals

All orders are processed, packaged, and cleared for export directly through Medizra’s headquarters:

Factory & Dispatch Center: Malkay Kalan, Wahid Road, Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan
Air Freight Hubs: Sialkot International Airport (SKT), Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore (LHE), or Islamabad International Airport (ISB)
Sea Freight Ports: Karachi Port / Port Muhammad Bin Qasim (routed via bonded land carrier from Sialkot Dry Port)

2. Sample Orders & Evaluation Kits

To assist distributors, hospitals, and medical device brands in validating our metallurgical and manufacturing quality, Medizra provides express sample shipments:

Turnaround Time: Pre-production samples of standard catalog patterns are dispatched within 7 to 10 business days. Bespoke or newly tooled OEM patterns require 14 to 21 business days.
Courier Partners: Samples are dispatched via tracked air express services (DHL Express, FedEx Priority, or UPS).
Sample Costs & Freight Policy: Evaluation instruments are invoiced with applicable sample and courier charges. Sample costs are fully credited back to the Buyer on their first commercial volume production order.

3. Commercial Freight Methods

Medizra coordinates freight routing to match client timeline requirements, order volumes, and budget allocations:

Express Air Cargo (Courier):
- Recommended for: Urgent clinical supplies, small to mid-sized orders (under 100 kg), and fast-turnaround distributor replenishments.
- Typical Transit Time: 3 to 6 business days door-to-door worldwide.
Air Freight (Airport-to-Airport):
- Recommended for: Shipments weighing 100 kg to 1,000+ kg requiring rapid international delivery.
- Typical Transit Time: 5 to 8 business days to your designated international airport customs terminal.
Ocean Cargo (FCL / LCL Sea Freight):
- Recommended for: High-volume distributor contracts, large institutional hospital supply orders, and recurring container-load shipments.
- Options: Full Container Load (20ft / 40ft FCL) or Less than Container Load (LCL consolidated cargo).
- Typical Transit Time: 20 to 35 business days depending on the destination port (Europe, North America, Middle East, Asia-Pacific).

4. International Trade Incoterms

Commercial invoices and delivery arrangements adhere strictly to ICC Incoterms 2020:

EXW (Ex Works – Factory Sialkot): Buyer arranges pickup directly from our Sialkot manufacturing plant and manages export customs and freight.
FOB (Free On Board – Sialkot / Lahore / Karachi): Medizra manages factory packaging, inland transit, and all Pakistani export customs clearance up to loading on the aircraft or vessel.
CIF / CFR (Cost, Insurance & Freight): Medizra covers freight costs and standard marine/air cargo insurance to the Buyer’s named destination port.
DAP / DDP (Delivered at Place / Delivered Duty Paid): Available upon written agreement for express courier shipments, subject to country-specific customs feasibility.

5. Packaging & Sterile-Barrier Preservation

To guarantee instruments arrive without dimensional damage, surface micro-scratching, or ambient moisture exposure during transit, Medizra enforces strict multi-tier export packaging:

Primary Tip Protection: Delicate tips, scissor blades, and fine forceps teeth are protected with soft, medical-grade silicone sleeves or tip-guard tubing.
Moisture Protection: Instruments are sealed in heavy-duty polyethylene pouches containing non-toxic, moisture-absorbing silica gel packs.
Intermediate Packaging: Grouped in custom inner boxes, labeled with laser-readable barcodes, SKU numbers, and lot designations.
Outer Export Cartons: Heavy-duty, double-wall corrugated 7-ply export master cartons strapped with reinforced PVC banding.
Palletization: Sea cargo and bulk air shipments are shrink-wrapped on ISPM-15 heat-treated export pallets to ensure structural integrity across transit handoffs.

6. Customs Documentation & Regulatory Papers

Every export shipment dispatched by Medizra is accompanied by a complete legal export package to ensure rapid customs clearance:

Commercial Invoice: Specifying exact item descriptions, HS codes (Harmonized System Code 9018 for medical and surgical instruments), unit values, and country of origin.
Detailed Packing List: Breaking down net weight, gross weight, carton dimensions, and specific lot allocations per box.
Certificate of Origin: Issued and stamped by the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI).
Material Test Certificates (MTC): Confirming raw steel chemical composition (AISI 410, 420, 316) upon request.
Transport Bill: Air Waybill (AWB) or Ocean Bill of Lading (B/L).

7. Import Duties, Taxes & Local Regulations

Tariffs & Import Duties: Unless explicitly invoiced under DDP terms, the Buyer is responsible for paying all applicable national import duties, VAT/GST, harbor maintenance fees, and local customs broker processing charges in the destination country.
Local Medical Device Clearances: The Buyer is responsible for verifying that imported instruments comply with local regulatory frameworks (such as FDA listings, CE marking requirements, or local Ministry of Health notifications) prior to order dispatch.

8. Shipment Tracking & Cargo Claims

Dispatch Notification: Upon cargo departure from our Sialkot facility or regional airport, Medizra provides the Buyer with complete tracking credentials and digital copies of all shipping documentation.
Transit Damage Protocol:
- If a shipment arrives with visible external carton tampering, crushing, or water damage, the Buyer must note the damage on the courier/carrier delivery receipt before signing.
- High-resolution photographs of outer carton tags, damaged packaging, and affected instruments must be sent to info@medizra.com within seven (7) calendar days of delivery to process carrier insurance or factory replacement claims.
